I remember the day I took this picture.
I had been in Paris just a few weeks and enjoyed spending my time roaming the neighborhoods. While wandering in the Marais district one morning, I had gotten a little turned around and wasn't exactly sure where I was (which is part of the fun of walking in Paris).
I found myself in back of the Swedish Cultural Center and while I was looking at their garden, I saw this guy up in a tree.
It took me a few moments to realize just what it was I was looking at and when I realized that this was a dummy, I just had to get a picture. Fortunately, he held the pose while I got out my camera.
If you've been to Paris, no doubt you have a story of your own.
It's hard to imagine visiting Paris without coming back with a good story or two about your stay.
Perhaps an interesting street scene, like the guy who swallows swords in the Plaza at the Pompidou Center, or a place you visited that really made an impression on you.
Or, share one of those "cultural moments", either a "that's cool" connection or a "what's up with that?" disconnection.
Maybe you met somebody here, another traveller or a local, who has become a friend for life. Maybe you fell in love in Paris, or maybe you came here because you are in love.
